Rental facilities are located at both the Main Lodge at the base of Mt. Judah and in the Village. Both shops have a great selection of Rossignol shaped skis. Ski packages include skis, boots and poles. Snowboard packages include board and boots. The Demo Center is located at Sugar Bowl Ski & Sports near the Village lodge. Daily demos include the newest skis from Atomic, Fischer, Rossignol & Salomon.
Sugar Bowl's professional ski and snowboard staff offers a true mountain
experience whether you are a first timer or a seasoned skier or rider. Sugar
Bowl's advanced teaching methodologies will have most beginners navigating the
easy green runs in the first two hours. Intermediate to advanced skiers and
boarders can improve in bumps, race, steep, deep, crud, park, pipe or virtually
any terrain that Sugar Bowl has to offer.

Sugar Bowl debuts the new Mountain Sports Learning Center (“MSLC”) at Mt
Judah.
MSLC is the absolute fastest, most convenient way to get your gear and hit the
slopes. Designed with our guests in mind, the new MSLC is a streamlined approach
for rentals, lessons and tickets. Guests are invited to pull up to the preferred
parking area designated specifically for the MSLC. Once inside, follow our user
friendly process to rent the newest in gear from our ski and board fleet,
schedule lessons and purchase tickets. The exit places you right at the base of
the White Pine lift for super easy access to the mountain. For added
convenience, the MSLC is also equipped with basket check, a gift shop and
bathrooms.
Availability – All lessons are available seven days a week at the new
MSLC. Call (530) 426-6770.
Check in time- please arrive one hour prior to your lesson meeting time
to purchase tickets, rentals, lessons, or the all-inclusive Fast Track Package.
Meeting area and times- Lessons meet on the snow, adjacent to the MSLC
and the White Pine chairlift. Please arrive at the meeting area at least 15
minutes before your lesson. Group lessons begin promptly at 10AM and 1PM daily.
Monday through Friday group lessons are available at the Mt. Judah Lodge
only. Lessons are available at both the Judah and Gondola entrances Saturday and
Sunday.
Adult & child lessons are available at both the Main Lodge at Mt. Judah (meet on the snow in front of the Main Lodge) & the Village Lodge (meet up the hill from the Disney Express Quad to the right.)
ROSSIGNOL
Finely-tuned shaped skis from Rossignol are available with all lesson packages.
Group lessons available for kids and adults, for both skiing and boarding, for beginners through advanced intermediates. Advanced students are encouraged to take private sessions to improve their skills.
Learning to ski or snowboard is easy with the First Turns Program. This package includes a two-hour lesson, rental equipment and a lift ticket good on our beginner lifts- White Pine, Flume, Jerome Hill Express, Christmas Tree, Nob Hill, and Meadow.

Whether you are just learning how to slide or are looking to push your limits
in any or all terrain, the private lesson is the way to go. Request a
professional that specializes in the steeps, the terrain park, the bumps, the
backcountry and more. Create your own small private groups for an all mountain
tour while cutting the lift lines and learning tactical approaches to the
terrain and the use of modern equipment.

We recommend families with little ones (6 years and under) take the Gondola to the Village entrance. All children's programs except Sugar Bears are available at both the Village and the Main Lodge at Mt. Judah, on certain days only. Please read signs upon arrival. Call: (530) 426-6776 for Reservations and Information. It is important that children arrive by 8:30 am for the morning or all day session and/or by 1:00pm for the afternoon session. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. Please pick up your child at 1:00pm for the morning session or between 4-4:30pm for the afternoon or all-day session..
| Sugar Bears Child Care Center is a fun-filled and friendly place helping youngsters learn to ski. Our experienced and caring personnel will ensure that your child will have a memorable experience. For children ages 3 to 5. Children need to be toilet-trained, as well as socially and emotionally ready for day care. License # 310313712. Sugar Bears Activity program includes Ski lessons, Snow play, Art/Free play, Singing/storytelling, Quiet time/movie and snacks and lunch. The cost includes ski equipment and lift access if applicable. | ||||
| Your child should bring warm ski clothes, gloves/mittens/hat,
sunglasses/goggles, sunscreen, change of clothes/socks, and snow boots.

| Ages 4-6. Full or Half-day sessions This is an outdoor extension of our popular Sugar Bears program designed for those kids ready for a little more on-hill challenge. Base Camp is operated by our caring kid friendly staff. Includes ski rental, lift ticket and lesson with at least one hour on the snow training plus basic skills with indoor orientation, tips and techniques.

| Ages 6-12, all-day long snowboard or ski-oriented camp. Tickets must be purchased 1 hour before start of program! Kids will love this class which includes an all day lesson, a supervised lunch, mountain tour and rental. Camp hours are 8:30am - 3:00pm., so your child can show off for you with a run or two before the day ends. This is one of our most popular packages, so please arrive early. We also offer this program on weekends only through our Gondola Portal. Time for Summit Camp through the Gondola Portal is 10pm-3pm. All group lessons for both children and adults are only offered at our Mountain Sports Learning Center Pavillion at Mt. Judah Mid Week. All services are offered at both portals weekends and holidays only.

Donner Summit Shuttle: Operates weekends and holidays, with the
first shuttle leaving Mt. Judah Lodge at 8;00am for Donner Ski Ranch, Sugar Bowl
Gondola, Tri Lodges, Donner Summit Lodge, Royal Gorge and returns to Mt. Judah
Lodge every hour, on the hour
Truckee shuttle to Sugar Bowl: The shuttle from Truckee
to Sugar Bowl leaves the downtown Truckee Depot at 7:00am and runs on the hour,
every hour, last run up the hill at 5:00pm. The shuttle from Sugar Bowl to
Truckee leaves Mt. Judah at 7:30am and runs on the 1/2 hour, last run down the
hill from Mt. Judah at 5:30pm. Numerous other stops along the way make this a
very convenient shuttle.
Over the Snow Shuttle at Sugar Bowl: Runs everyday from
8:20am-5:05pm, leaving the Main Lodge at :20 minutes and :50 minutes after the
hour, every hour, and leaving the Village Lodge at :05 minutes and :35 minutes
after the hour, every hour.
From Sacramento: Take Interstate 80 east, exit at the Norden/Soda
Springs off ramp. Turn right on Hwy 40 eastbound and continue 3 miles to Sugar
bowl's Village Gondola parking lot.
From Reno: Take
Interstate 80 west to the last Truckee exit at Donner Pass road. Turn left on
Donner Pass Road. Follow the road past Donner Lake about 3 miles up over the
summit. Turn left, at the main entrance sign to Sugar Bowl.
If for any reason you're not satisfied with your experience at Sugar Bowl, simply turn in your lift ticket within an hour of purchase and we'll give you a voucher for another day. Because if you're not happy, we're not happy.
