Enjoy spectacular views of Lake Tahoe and Martis Valley from many of our 50 kilometers of groomed, scenic trails. Pack a lunch and stride, telemark or skate ski to one of the three warming huts with picnic tables located throughout the trail system. Demo state of the art skis and equipment by Fischer, Salomon and Redfeather snowshoes. Group and Private skiing lessons are offered daily for striding, skate and telemark with PSIA certified ski instructors.

Snowshoeing is offered on cross-country trails and two Lake Tahoe wilderness trails. There's a warming hut on the "Big Springs" cross country trail system. The hut is on the "Minglewood" trail and is easily accessible by beginners. All three of our warming huts offer water and complimentary hot drinks.

The Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Center is located at Mid-mountain just past the Ski and Snowboard School. Trail fees include use of Big Springs Gondola and Echo lifts (Echo may not operate daily).

Cross Country Stride, Skate and Telemark Lessons & Packages

Your ears are not used to it. Up here, it's just the sound of silence. 1,500 acres worth, 50km of groomed trails that wind and dip through snow-filled forests and end up overlooking Lake Tahoe or viewing the High Sierra's. We offer lessons from our certified instructors and have the most up-to-date rental equipment in the area. So get out here and enjoy the quiet of winter. It is a beautiful sound!

We offer lessons in all styles of Nordic Skiing: Telemark, Striding and Skating. Prices do not include trail pass or rental.

Minors' Camp

Minors’ Camp offers state licensed child care for children ages 2 - 4 (must be toilet trained). Learn-to-ski is available for children ages 3 - 4.

Minors’ Camp is located at the Golf Course Clubhouse. CA license #293610610. Reservations recommended (530) 562-2278.
