Closing Dates for 2012/2013 Season

CLOSING DATES: Typically ski resorts will start closing for the season by early to mid April...with a few staying open into May as conditions allow at higher elevation resorts. We will be posting closing dates here as they are reflected by the ski resorts soon. In the meantime get in your last turns for the season on some terrific springtime corn snow.

Keep your eyes peeled on Lake Tahoe Weather for reports on changing mountain conditions this time of year! In planning a visit to Lake Tahoe you may also want to check on road conditions before heading up the hill and carry chains to be prepared for inclement weather!

• Spooner Lake XC Ski Area - Officially Closed 2012
  • Spooner Lake Cross country ski area will not be open or grooming trails for the 2012/13 winter season. We have chosen not to renew our lease with State Parks. State parks has told us they intend to try to keep the parking lot plowed but will not be packing or maintaining trails or seeking another operator.
