Mark Twain said, "To obtain the air the angels breathe, you must go to Tahoe."
Heavenly, besides reaching into the sky, reaches into your soul.
It's 10,067 feet of exhilaration, the highest elevation of any resort at
Lake Tahoe. The views rivet you. You'll find 4,800 ski able acres. The
most vertical feet in the region. 30 lifts that take you to 91 runs.
Hair-raising steeps. Powder-filled bowls. Picture book tree runs.
Wide-open, groomed boulevards. In other words, challenges await, no matter
what your skill level. One third of this
mountain gives envelope-pushers a place to push themselves. While the
other two-thirds offers beginners and intermediates excellent terrain to
have fun with while honing their skills. Weather? How about 76% sunny days
and 360 inches of snow in a season.
|
A mountain so big it has to be seen to be believed. And even then you won't believe it...
Few ski resorts match Heavenly's superior scenic beauty and expansive
network of lifts, terrain, trails and snowmaking. With access to mid-mountain
from mid-town via the new high speed gondola, skiing and riding the region's
largest resort has never been easier. Discover
the many sides of Heavenly from the awe-inspiring scenic beauty, to the
heart-stopping steeps of Mott and Killebrew Canyons to the gentle wide-open
cruisers of Nevada.
No longer the best-kept local secret, all Heavenly’s guests will have access to the sweet powder stashes found in Northbowl Woods, Powderbowl Woods, Skiways Glades, Scorpion Woods and Dipper Woods. To further complement the extensive off-piste skiing and riding, Heavenly has added six new groomers to its fleet of Bombardier 350s, making it the largest such fleet in North America. Numbering sixteen, the fleet now grooms the slopes twice daily -- dawn and noon. Now, guests don’t have to be the first ones on the slopes to achieve maximum corduroy enjoyment. Snowmaking capacity continues to grow with current run coverage at 70%. Freeriders will flip for the “sick” terrain features found in Heavenly’s High Roller Terrain Parks and the largest superpipe in the Tahoe Basin carved by a monster 22-foot Zaugg pipe cutter, one of only two in North America. Heavenly will also debut its new High Roller Night Life Terrain Park where riders can “go big” all night long. The resort now boasts five terrain parks with varying degrees of difficulty so every level of park rider can get their “jib” on!

On Mountain Activities - It's bigger than a mountain and more than just skiing and riding....
The Gondola - Want to get those panoramic views of Lake Tahoe that are only found in magazines and art studios? Well now it’s possible to capture an aerial view of the lake and mountains, adding your very own artistic flare, with a ride up The Gondola at Heavenly. The awe-inspiring journey begins at of the Heavenly Village where the Gondola at Heavenly goes 2.4 miles up the mountain to 9,123 feet, nearly 3,000 feet above the lake. The ride itself is stunning and offers unparalleled views of the Desolation Wilderness, Carson Valley and, of course, the sparkling waters of Lake Tahoe.
The Deck - Two-thirds of the way up the mountainside, The Deck offers the perfect sightseeing venue. Nestled among the massive granite boulders, the 14,000 square-foot deck provides high-powered viewing telescopes that allow visitors a close-up look at some of the destination’s best-known landmarks including Emerald Bay, Mount Tallac and Cascade Falls.
