FREE FISHING DAYS! Yes, you can fish without having to buy a license
in California on June 9th and September 22nd, 2007 and fish free in Nevada on June 10th, 2007. This is especially a great
deal for anyone who is new to sport fishing and wants to get their feet wet to
see if they will enjoy it. Please note that although you don't need a
license on these days, all regulations still apply.
2007 California & Nevada Sport Fishing License Fees
Fishing is permitted anywhere on Lake Tahoe with either a California or Nevada
fishing license.
*If you lose your California license and need a duplicate you will need the yellow
receipt or pay full price

Fishing Hours
 | Lake Tahoe (Placer and El Dorado Cos.): Fishing is prohibited from two hours after sunset to one hour before sunrise. |

Bait-General
 | No trout may be maintained or possessed in a live condition in any container on or attached to any boat. |
 | Except as provided below, live or dead fin fish shall not be used or possessed for use as bait in the Sierra and North
Coast Districts.
 | In Donner, Fallen Leaf and Tahoe lakes - Lahontan Redside, Tui Chub, Tahoe
Sucker, Lahontan Speckled
Dace, Mountain Sucker and Paiute Sculpin may be used only in the same lake where taken. |
