      • The Village at Northstar will play host to our Labor Day Arts and Crafts Festival. The booths will be set up around the centrally located roller rink(closed to skating) and adjacent Village walkways. There are luxury condos in the Village, a variety of shopping options from stylish boutiques, art galleries and specialty retailers to a collection of cafes.

    • 23rd Annual Alpen Wine Festival
      • The clink of wine glasses and the mellow sounds of jazz complement the sound of the breeze through the valley during the 23rd Annual Alpen Wine Festival at The Village at Squaw Valley USA. For $40, wine connoisseurs can toast each other with vintages from more than 40 Northern California vineyards, served in a Spiegalau crystal souvenir wine glass or peruse the incredible Silent Auction room for great deals on wine and art. Proceeds will benefit The Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis.

      • There is a new board game that's out with lots of music trivia. There is a question about tequila and cantinas and the answer is obviously Sammy Hagar. The better question is name a singer who has gold records as a member of three different bands and as a solo artist? Now name another voice who can equal that. Sorry, there is only one. Sam's in a league of his own. Surprised?

    • Tahoe Big Blue Sprint Adventure Race
      • These are ideal for the beginner adventure racer, while still providing a challenge to you veterans. Designed for finishing times of 2 to 4 hours, this is a great way to give the sport a try or introduce a friend to lots of fun. Competitors will race over land and water participating in mountain biking, trail running, kayaking, and perhaps some special tests!

    • The 36th Annual San Francisco Comedy Competition live at the MontBleu Theater
      • The San Francisco Comedy Competition is an annual, multi-week, judged, stand-up comedy contest. Previous winners include Robin Williams, Dana Carvey, Bobby Slayton, Will Durst, Sinbad, Ellen DeGeneres, Rob Schneider, Nick DiPaolo, Louis C. K., Patton Oswalt, Dane Cook, Vinnie Favorito, Ralphie May and more. Don't miss this night of laughs.
        Television roles and movie stardom have come to dozens of past finalists in the San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

    • 10th Annual Tahoe Big Blue Adventure Race
      • Join us for a Sprint (2 to four hour finish) and Classic (6 to 9 hour finish) adventure! Solo competitors and teams of 2, 3 or 4 participate in kayaking, mountain biking, and trail running. Your experience participating in Big Blue Adventure Series will be enhanced if you have some familiarity with the activities in each discipline of the event you participate in. At least one of your team members should have a basic knowledge of navigation and orienteering skills.

    • Emerald Bay Trail Run
      • The Emerald Bay Trail Run starts at Eagle Point and then takes you around Emerald Bay and up the Rubicon Trail to D.L. Bliss State Park to finish at Lester Beach. The course is a 7.5 mile/12Km point to point route. The course is fast with low/moderate climbing.

And the new 72 mile Tahoe Ultra Marathon which runs around Lake Tahoe.     • 2011 Tahoe Sierra Century Bike Ride
      • The century ride includes incredibly scenic as well as challenging terrain. The ride begins at the Village at Squaw Valley, follows along the beautiful north shore of Lake Tahoe, Brockway Summit, the Tahoe Donner area, Donner Lake, Donner Summit, and finishes back at the Village. 30, 60 & 100 mile scenic bike ride starts and finishes in the Village all to benefit the music programs at North Tahoe middle and high schools. Riders can enjoy live music from our local talent while feeding on pasta & pizza from Fireside Pizza Co.
