- The Tahoe Rim Trail Association is working on an exciting new project
this summer. They are building, rerouting, and decommissioning parts of the
Rim Trail in South Lake Tahoe. Volunteers of all ages and skill level are

- At least two whole hours of fun for you and your youngster... Open play
is the perfect solution for children needing to burn off some energy. Kids
can start out by bouncing down the 15’ long tumble track into the Ball Pit
filled with 5000 balls! Then they can navigate through tunnels, climbing
obstacles, and the giant crayon balance beam. When they’ve had enough
gymnastics they can move over to the giant Play Room filled with soft foam
blocks, bean bag chairs, toys, and the play hut tunnel system. As if that
weren’t enough they can express themselves through art and music in the 3rd
room known as the Arts and Crafts Room. Let your child color all over the
chalk board painted wall or rearrange the alphabet on the fully magnetic
wall. Every Monday and Friday there is a new art project that will be led by
an instructor and displayed for all others to see!

a lake jump competition, animal-themed activities and free live music will pay
tribute to man and woman's best friend. The The funds benefit the Tahoe
Truckee Humane Society and Squaw Valley Rescue Dogs.

Trail Run, West Shore
- The Emerald Bay Trail Run starts at Eagle Point and then takes you
around Emerald Bay and up the Rubicon Trail to D.L. Bliss State Park to finish
at Lester Beach. From promontories such as Rubicon Point in D.L. Bliss State
Park you can see over one hundred feet into the depths of Lake Tahoe. From the
crest of Eagle Falls in Emerald Bay State Park, you can see a brilliant
panorama of Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Lake Tahoe, and the distant Nevada
shore. Plan on spending the entire day, because once you get here, you won't
want to leave.
