    • Marathon De Mayo Nevada Wide Open Music Marathon
      • Reno’s 2nd annual event takes to the streets and features marathon, half-marathon, 10K and 5K races along with a health and fitness expo and musical performances. The course begins and ends at the Reno Arch on Virginia Street and takes participants through some of Reno’s most scenic areas including the Truckee River in downtown Reno.

    • 10th Annual "The X Ride" - The Road is Out There
      • Two fully supported FUN bike tours on & off Nevada's Extraterrestrial Highway (Hwy. 375). Saturday features "The 'X' Ride into the Twilight Zone," a 40-mile road bike Night Ride out and back to the "AREA 51" Mailbox. Overnight camping, star gazing and other alien activities permitted. Sunday is "The 'X' Ride - To the Outer Limits," a fully supported off-road mountain bike ride to the "outer limits" - the Security perimeter of AREA 51. 200 participants.

    • Reno River Festival
      • Featuring an invitational competition, demonstrations, clinics, live music, movie premieres, after-parties, vendors of all sorts, food, drinks and much more, the annual Reno River Festival has quickly become one of the largest and most popular whitewater festivals in the country. Now in its fourth year, the Festival attracts some of the world’s top kayakers including Jay Kincaid, Ruth Gordon, Eric Jackson and Tanya Faux, and is held at the Truckee River Whitewater Park in downtown Reno, NV. The whitewater course totals 2,600 feet of class 2-to 3 rapids, on a difficulty scale of 1 to 6, and includes north and south channels that surround a city park on an island in the river with 7,000 tons of smooth flat rocks along the shores for easy river access and spectator seating.
