      • Back by popular demand – Gym Time for Tots – open space for your little ones to get out and let loose! Half of the gym will be sectioned off for your playful child/children to bring his/her tricycles to burn up some excess energy or borrow one of our toys to zoom around. The other half of the gym will have mats, balls & bounce house set up. The middle of the gym will have tables set up for adult talk time. No Supervision will be provided by city staff!!!

    • Open Play at Tahoe Tots Spot
      • At least two whole hours of fun for you and your youngster... Open play is the perfect solution for children needing to burn off some energy. Kids can start out by bouncing down the 15’ long tumble track into the Ball Pit filled with 5000 balls! Then they can navigate through tunnels, climbing obstacles, and the giant crayon balance beam. When they’ve had enough gymnastics they can move over to the giant Play Room filled with soft foam blocks, bean bag chairs, toys, and the play hut tunnel system. As if that weren’t enough they can express themselves through art and music in the 3rd room known as the Arts and Crafts Room. Let your child color all over the chalk board painted wall or rearrange the alphabet on the fully magnetic wall. Every Monday and Friday there is a new art project that will be led by an instructor and displayed for all others to see!

    • An Evening with Climbing Legend Fred Beckey at Mo's Place
      • Climbing legend Fred Beckey, 86 – who is credited with more first ascents (mostly in North America) than any other mountaineer in the nation – is making an appearance in South Lake Tahoe on Saturday to benefit two area organizations. Beckey, who is still an active climber, will appear at 5:30 p.m. at Mo's Sports Bar (inside the Super 8 Motel), 3600 Lake Tahoe Blvd. A presentation during which Beckey shares his stories, photos and films is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Proceeds from a raffle, auction and entrance fee will benefit the Sierra Avalanche Center and the Access Fund, a mountaineering advocacy group.

      • Charitysmith and Tahoe Mountain Resorts present the (formerly the “Benefit Bash”) at the lodge at Alpine Meadows. The Ability Bash will honor Wounded Warriors returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Disabled Sports will be hosting 20 servicemen for a weeklong Abilities Camp at their program center at Alpine Meadows. The camp will include adaptive snow skiing, snowboarding and other winter recreational activities designed as part of their therapy and reintegration into the community. The Ability Bash will be the culmination of the week and will feature a buffet dinner, fine wines and microbrews, live music by “Sambada”, a silent auction and a mystery raffle.       • The Dummy Downhill has been a favorite event for eight years and every year it gets bigger and better. Join us for the 9th Annual Dummy Downhill where participants build a dummy on skis or snowboards that get launched off of a big jump. Watch as unique characters fly down the hill or crash hard. This is the flugtag for dummies! Those who enter a dummy will receive a free commemorative T-shirt and lift ticket for the day (limit 2 per dummy). The Dummy Downhill is open to the public and there are no registration fees. Dummy builders are encouraged to be as creative as they can. The following restrictions apply to all dummies: they can not be live, must not weigh more than 75 lbs, teams that build their dummies to lose parts as they crash will be required to clean up afterward. At least one person from each team must be available to transport and/or unload their dummy at the top of the launch. Categories include Best Crash, Longest Jump, Most Creative, and more. The Dummy Downhill is a perfect spring event! Big Brothers Big Sisters will also be joining us for this special event. The Big Brothers Big Sisters organization is a one-to-one youth service that’s been around for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people.

      • Telemark Lessons and Rentals at Northstar ResortNorthstar® Resort is offering one-day Telemark Camps to those looking to learn, improve or perfect their technique. These all-day camps have a relaxed, student-centric approach where the participants help dictate the direction. Each level will focus on being more efficient skiers making for easier, more fluid skiing though level appropriate drills. Students will be evaluated and placed in groups appropriate to their experience level. Groups will practice and learn drills, receive feedback, video analysis and a personal program for improvement. Camps will follow PSIA standards, and copies of PSIA manuals will be provided. Camp includes: One-day all access lift ticket, 4 hours of instruction, Video analysis, PSIA manual, Class ratio of less then 6 to 1, Use of demo equipment (if needed), Lunch voucher valid for up to $14. Three levels of clinics are offered, with group levels determined with a practice run to ensure participants are placed in the right class. Beginners: Clinic focus - proper stance, weight distribution, utilizing beginner slopes. Intermediates: Clinic focus - correcting bad habits, using the rear ski (inside ski). Advanced: Clinic focus - skiing any slope, any condition.

This six-stop amateur tour is hosted by the most progressive park resorts in the country and will be a gathering for some of the happiest amateur riders on Earth to push each other in a fun jam style environment. Northstar at Tahoe is proud to host the fifth stop. Riders will receive a year subscription to TransWorld SNOWboarding Magazine. The slopestyle contest will be held on Bashful with the afternoon rail jam on Lower Bashful. Snowboarding's leading ladies- Jamie and Joanie Anderson- will be judging and making an appearance. Sierra-at-Tahoe is hosting the sixth leg of this all girls series with winners receiving travel and accommodations for the finals on March 28th in Quebec. Join the Flaunt It pre-party on Saturday starting at 7pm at the Beach Hut Deli in South Lake Tahoe.       • Whether your idea of adventure is the undeniable adrenaline rush of one’s first time on the slopes, weightlessly floating through an early morning powder stash, the thrill of running gates, dizzying tricks in the halfpipe, a serene backcountry escape, or merely negotiating the mountain safely with your 7-year old, Sierra-at-Tahoe® Resort’s Women’s camps can take you there! Our specially trained team strives to provide an exciting and fun experience by promoting self-confidence and building one’s ability in an encouraging and safe environment. Sierra™ Resort’s all female learning environment is designed to improve on-hill skill and confidence for women ages 18 and over of any skiing or snowboarding ability. The camps begin with a self-assessment by the participants to determine ability level and comfort zone. Women are then placed in groups that will be most conducive to learning. Or, a group of friends can form their own group if they are all comfortable skiing and riding together. Each camp starts with a welcome breakfast on Sunday morning and will continue with a syllabus designed around participants’ goals. Each camp can be booked for Sunday only, or for all three days.

      • The Squallywood one day clinic focuses on the high quality terrain and aesthetic lines that have made Squaw Valley “Squallywood”. Participants will tour and ski the most photographed and filmed areas of the mountain as well Squaw’s secret nooks and crannies. Participants will also enjoy themselves as they push their riding to any level that they feel confident. Author of Squallywood the book, resident M.D. and ski hero, Robb Gaffney and friends will enable those in the clinic to lay a few gentle turns down an open slope, jump a rock, ski a 40 degree slope, or try out a 60 degree wall.
