- This is our annual fundraising dinner and Dress is modern-day formal
(suits for the men and evening gowns or cocktail dresses for the women). It

of Cinderella that we're doing Feb. 9 & 11, she actually wears a silver ball

Nevada Opera presents La Cenerentola (Cinderella)
- Written just a year after the Barber of Seville, Rossini's telling of
the Cinderella story has become one of his most popular works. Though the
slipper has been changed to a bracelet, and the Fairy Godmother into a
Philosopher, the story is essentially that of the traditional fairy tale.
The music is quintessential Rossini with hilarious ensembles and magnificent
arias. La Cenerentola is a story perfectly suited to Rossini's depictions of
surprise, confusion and disguise. It's a colorful and vibrant stage
presentation as well that no one will want to miss. Conducted by Michael Borowitz and performed in Italian with
English Supertitles.

- Full Moon Snowshoe Tour
- Only $25, snowshoe rentals are available for an additional $5. Tours
will depart from The North Face store in the Village at Northstar at
6pm, and will cover approximately 5km of terrain. Guests will enjoy hot

- Events will start at the Tahoe City Nordic Center, and skiers will make
their way to Northstar Resort’s Cross-Country Center for a prepared lunch of
chili and corn bread before heading back to Tahoe City. The tour fee is $30
and includes the Tahoe City trail pass, Northstar Resort trail pass,
one-time lift access to the top of Mt. Pluto, and lunch at the Northstar
Resort Cross-Country Center. Tickets can be purchased at the Tahoe City
Nordic Center the morning of the event.

- Great Ski Race Preparation Program
- Heard of the Great Ski Race? Want to improve your time from last
year? We will have a small group and work progressively through the
season addressing technique, fitness, planning, race strategy and
waxing. Each session will have technique and fitness focal points
and we will also have a practice race to "iron out" any waxing and
race-day issues.
- Saturdays from 8:30-10:30am for 8 sessions. $120 per season pass
holder ($150 for others). Trail passes are not included. Space is
limited, and participants will be chosen on a first-come,
first-served basis. Participants should be physically fit, and skate
ski at an intermediate or higher level.
